Pachucx Ball 2017
This year, 2017, was the first year we've celebrated Pachucx Ball, in 4 years. We brought it back to not lose our MEChA traditions. We enjoyed this free event that was open to all students across campus. There was free music, free snacks, and a photo booth that many got to enjoy.
Youth Empowerment Conference 2017
MEChA de UCI hosted high school students from southern California for our annual Youth Empowerment Conference. Various workshops were offered to students from A-G requirements, Financial Aid, and through our theme of "Resistance Through Advocacy".

Dia De Los Muertos 2018
Dia de los Muertos is held every year during Fall quarter near the actual day of Dia de los Muertos, to celebrate the lives of those whom are no longer with us. This year, it was held on November 8th at the Student Center Terrace. It is a day, where instead of mourning our loved ones, we are here to celebrate their past life. During this event, we put up an altar and allow the UCI community to bring pictures of their loved ones that have passed away and other items to remember them by, such as fruits, their favorite drink, candles, calaveras and more. During this event, we have fun informational booths about the origin of Dia De Los Muertos, the significance of the altar, the significance of the calavera, a Black Lives Matter info table and a 43 estudiantes desaparecidos de Ayotzinapa info table. We also had a DJ, Tamborazo, Danza Azteca, and Ballet Folklorico perform this year. We also had face painting, arts and crafts, and free tamales, arroz and frijoles!

Resistance Youth Conference 2016
Formerly known as Raza Youth Conference (RYC), is a way that MEChistAs dedicate their time and energy to provide tools that will empower them in the future in regards to education, resources, and information about the college process. It's a great way that provides an insider about college life to middle school, high school, and community college students. This conference is usually held every year in February.
